Petro-Clean is designed to attack hydrocarbons such as gasoline, oil, and hydraulic fluid, significantly reducing their ability to ignite. Petro-Clean can then be washed up and the microbes present will consume the hydrocarbons . The resulting by-products consist of harmless carbon dioxide, water and cell materials. Petro-Clean offers an extremely convenient pressure sprayer that can be purchased for easy, fast and controlled application. Petro-Clean products should be used any time there is a spill and a flame hazard exist. It will not only render the spill safer for the protection of life and property but will also remediate the contamination to prevent damage to the environment.
Petro-Clean was developed, working in conjunction with the Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department of Atascocita, Texas. The objectives they were trying to accomplish was first render a petrochemical spill safe against the potential for ignition. Secondly, they wanted the product to remediate the contamination to protect the environment and finally they wanted the application to be convenient for the fire fighters.
Petro-Clean accomplishes all of these objectives and is economical.
Petro-Clean disperses petrochemical contamination into small particles which significantly reduces flammability. When washed with water these particles form an emulsion with water and the hydrocarbon droplets are separated and cannot ignite.
In addition, microbes in the solution attach to the contamination and literally break it down to harmless carbon dioxide, water and cell materials.
